Christina completed her Masters of Science degree at the University of Calgary in 2016 specializing in School and Applied Child Psychology. She is a Registered Provisional Psychologist with the Saskatchewan College of Psychologists. Christina is currently a Doctoral Candidate completing her Ph.D. in School and Applied Child Psychology through the University of Calgary, Alberta. She has recently started private practice at Prairie Psychology Services for her Doctoral Residency training. Christina has previously worked with children and youth providing psychological services through the public and separate school boards in Calgary as well as the University of Calgary’s Integrated Services in Education Clinic.
Christina specializes in assessments for children and adolescents including cognitive abilities, learning disabilities, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, as well as presenting mental health challenges including anxiety.
Christina also offers therapy and counselling services to children and adolescents, ages 7 to 18. Counselling and therapy services provided include the areas of CBT, mindfulness, depression, anxiety, OCD, and stress management. Christina also provides parenting support and behavioural strategies for difficult child behaviours.
Christina comes from a strengths-based perspective and works with families to explore the strengths their children have across areas of functioning and identify resources/supports to promote growth in areas of difficulty.
Christina offers counselling to toddlers age 2 and up, children and adolescents up to the age of 19. She provides individual and family counselling. Individuals may seek counselling for assistance in one of these areas:
