Megan Poulter

Ph.D Practicum Student- Now accepting new referrals at a reduced fee

Megan recently completed her M.Sc. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Regina and will begin her Ph.D. in September 2024. From her Masters internship, Megan has experience in running Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills training group sessions, providing individual therapy using DBT and cognitive-behavioural approaches, and conducting mental health assessments for children. 

 

Megan’s research focuses on reproductive psychology, an area of research and practice dedicated to promoting mental health and well-being throughout the family planning and reproductive decision-making process. For her Masters thesis, she studied the psychological impact of infertility, including assisting in the development and testing of a self-help program for infertility-related distress.

 

Megan will be completing an 8-month practicum at Prairie Psychology starting in the fall of 2024, under the supervision of psychologists, Dr. Allisson Quine and Danaka Schindelka. During this practicum, she will be conducting individual therapy and assisting with psychological assessments for adults.
