Ph.D Practicum Student- Now accepting new referrals at a reduced fee
Joanna recently completed her M.Sc. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Regina and will begin her Ph.D. in September 2025. From her Masters internship, Joanna has experience in running Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) skills training group sessions, providing individual therapy using DBT and cognitive-behavioural approaches for generalized and social anxiety, and conducting ADHD assessments for both children and adults. Joanna’s research focuses on the effects of exercise on mental health symptoms. For her Masters thesis, she studied the impact of different types of exercise on anxiety and related vulnerability factors, depression, and stress across genders.
Joanna will be completing an 8-month practicum at Prairie Psychology starting in the fall of 2025, under the supervision of psychologist, Danaka Schindelka. During this practicum, she will be conducting individual therapy and assisting with psychological assessments for adults
